Lincoln city Chairman Bob Dorrian believes his club may need to leave Sincil Bank, stating it may be the clubs only way to secure their long term future.
He told BBC Lincolnshire: “The stadium isn’t really fit for the modern day. We have no facilities to derive any commercial income from the ground.”
Lincoln have had a ground at their Sincil Bank location since 1895.
Mr Dorrian added: “I would like to think something will be on the table within the next four years. The long-term plan is to make the club attractive to investors.”
The Imps Chairman along with directors at the Lincolnshire Co-Op and the Lindum Group, last week invested £500,000 to help with the running of the club and to try and encourage further investments.
Dorrian admitted the club would have been in serious financial trouble if not for the latest funding, claiming: “our March payroll may have been in jeopardy.”
